Moscow, Jun 9:
The Portugal of Cristiano Ronaldo, Spain’s rival in his first game of the group stage of the World Cup, landed this Saturday at Zhukovski airport in the outskirts of Moscow, a few kilometers from his barracks general in the small town of Kratovo.
The Portuguese national team, which will debut its World Cup campaign next 15th against Spain in Sochi (Black Sea), plans on Sunday training open to the public in its training base in Rámenski, very close to the facilities where it is hosted.
All the lights and the attention of the press will be on Ronaldo, who, after insinuating his departure from Real Madrid on the same day that the whites proclaimed themselves European champions, said that he would clarify his future when he was integrated with his team.
The Portuguese, clear favorites alongside Spain from Group B to head to the round of 16, will face Morocco in Moscow on June 20 and close the first phase against Iran in the town of Saransk, on the 25th.
The team led by Fernando Santos played their last match two days before the World Cup, in which they prevailed 3-0 to a weak Algeria thanks to the goals of Gonçalo Guedes (2) and Bruno Fernandes.
