FIFA Contact Rodchenkov
FIFA has already tried to contact Russian informant Grigory Rodchenkov on charges of doping in Russian football and will do it again after the samples of doping tests are re-tested by the World Anti-Doping Agency, AFP told FIFA .
Earlier, Rodchenkov’s lawyer said that his client has information that could be of interest to FIFA. However, he argued that FIFA did not attempt to contact his client. However, FIFA said that they tried to go to Rodchenkov via WADA before November 22 this year. Now in FIFA are waiting for a re-analysis of the doping tests, which are expected to begin in mid-January.
FIFA expects to put an end to the investigation as soon as possible against a number of Russian players who are suspected of using doping, given the approach of the 2018 World Cup in Russia. It was reported that we are talking about 34 players, 23 of which were part of the Russian national team’s bid for the 2014 World Cup.
